Terms of Service

  • You can use ShapeMirror as long as you follow these terms and the law.
  • Your first plan is free. Paid plans renew unless you cancel; you can cancel any time.
  • ShapeMirror is fitness guidance, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before starting if anything concerns you.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and ShapeMirror Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14572839), with registered office at 20 Eastbourne Terrace, London W2 6LA, United Kingdom ("ShapeMirror", "we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • "Service" means the ShapeMirror website, mobile applications, body-mapping tools, plans, and related features we provide.
  • "Account" means the personal account you create to access the Service.
  • "Content" means any photos, measurements, goals, messages, or other information you submit to the Service.
  • "Plan" means the personalised programme of recommendations the Service generates for you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 16 and 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You must not use the Service if you have a medical condition that makes physical activity unsafe without specialist supervision (for example, certain cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, or eating-disorder conditions). When in doubt, consult a qualified healthcare professional first.

3. Your account

  1. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your Account.
  2. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
  3. Notify us promptly at support@shapemirror.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your Account.
  4. You may not transfer your Account to anyone else.

4. Plans, billing, and free first plan

4.1 Free first plan

Your first 6-month Plan is provided free of charge. You may explore the full Service without entering payment details.

4.2 Paid subscriptions

If you choose a paid subscription, you agree to pay the recurring fee shown at checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

4.3 Payment processor

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd. We do not store your full card details.

4.4 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and the new price will only take effect at the start of your next billing period.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel a paid subscription within 14 days of starting it (the "cooling-off period") and receive a full refund, provided you have not substantially used the Service during that period.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights in the Content you submit. By using the Service, you grant ShapeMirror a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you.

Photos used for body mapping are processed locally on your device. Only anonymised body-shape measurements are transmitted to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful or fraudulent.
  • Upload Content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes another person's rights.
  • Upload photos of any person other than yourself without their explicit consent.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent allowed by law.
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or to scrape, copy, or republish Content beyond what is needed for personal use.

8. Health and medical disclaimer

ShapeMirror is a fitness and lifestyle Service. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The Plans, projections, and recommendations we provide are general guidance based on your inputs. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult your doctor before starting a new diet or exercise programme, particularly if you have any pre-existing medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury or surgery, or are taking medication.

The 6-month transformation preview is an illustration of what may be achievable; it is not a guarantee. Real results vary based on consistency, genetics, lifestyle, and other factors outside our control.

Stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other unusual symptoms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by ShapeMirror Ltd or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, applicable law, or our Acceptable Use rules.

You may stop using the Service at any time by closing your Account from your settings or by contacting support@shapemirror.com.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

Except as expressly set out in these Terms and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Limitation of liability

Subject to the paragraph above, our total aggregate liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any losses arising under or in connection with these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to ShapeMirror in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) GBP £100.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill.

13. Your indemnity to us

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShapeMirror Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any third-party right.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will give you at least 14 days' notice by email and post a notice on the Service. By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your Account before the changes take effect.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

You and ShapeMirror agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim, except that if you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.

16. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ShapeMirror in relation to the Service.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
  • Severability. If any provision is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Third parties. No person other than you and ShapeMirror has any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce these Terms.
